Passenger numbers at Singapore's Changi airport increased by 4.7% to 4.28 million in May compared with the same period in 2012.
Aircraft movements during the month grew by 5.4% to 28,500, while 148,000t of cargo were handled at the airport, down by 3.5% year on year.
The airport says growth in passenger traffic was supported by an increase in air travel between Singapore and Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and South Asia.
Among Changi's top 10 country markets, passenger movements between Singapore and Japan, Malaysia and Thailand registered double-digit increases.
Australia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand were ranked among Changi's top five markets in May.
