Taiwan’s China Airlines plans to raise its Taipei Taoyuan-Shanghai Pudong frequency on 2 December.

The increase will see the airline operating a 15 times weekly service on the route, up from 10 times weekly. It will deploy Boeing 747-400 aircraft on the additional services, says an airline official.

On 10 November, it reduced the Kaohsiung-Bangkok frequency from five to four times weekly and raised the Kaohsiung-Shanghai Pudong frequency from two to five times weekly.

Innovata schedules show that China Airlines competes with Air China, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines on the Taipei Taoyuan-Shanghai Pudong route.
