China Cargo Airlines joins SkyTeam Cargo alliance

China Cargo Airlines, a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, joined the SkyTeam Cargo alliance on 5 June.

The carrier is the alliance's 11th member, says SkyTeam Cargo in a statement.

Shanghai-based China Cargo Airlines, established in 1998, operates on 14 routes and utilises the belly space of China Eastern's aircraft. Data from Flightglobal Pro shows that the airline operates 13 freighters, such as Boeing 747-400s, 757-200s and 777s.

The SkyTeam Cargo alliance was launched in September 2000 and its members include Aeroflot Cargo, Aeromexico Cargo, KLM Cargo and China Southern Cargo.
