China Eastern Airlines has signed several agreements with Honeywell for a range of avionics products for its 58 incoming Boeing 737NG aircraft.
These include the IntuVue 3D weather radar, traffic alert and collision avoidance system and enhanced ground proximity warning system.
The 737NG aircraft are scheduled to be delivered over the next five years.
In addition, Honeywell will also provide wheels and brakes for 15 new Airbus A330 aircraft. This would bring the total number of A330 aircraft in the carrier's fleet equipped with Honeywell wheels and brakes to 51 by 2015.
The Chinese carrier has also chosen Honeywell's aircraft landing systems for its A330 fleet. Under the contract, Honeywell will provide the airline with aftermarket repair and maintenance programmes for the braking systems.
