China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has announced a number of new routes from Beijing and Kunming.
The SkyTeam airline will commence thrice weekly services between Beijing and Saipan from 26 March 2013. The airline says that it will fly the route using Airbus A330s.
According to Innovata schedules, there are no other carriers operating on the route.
CEA will also launch a number of routes from Kunming to destinations in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos from late December.
It will commence services on routes from Kunming to Da Nang on 27 December, to Hanoi on 28 December, to Phnom Penh on 29 December and to Luang Prabang on 30 December. Each of the routes from Kunming will be operated twice weekly using Boeing 737s.
Innovata schedules show that CEA will be the only carrier on those routes.
In addition, the airline says that it will place its code on SkyTeam partner Kenya Airways' services between Bangkok and Nairobi from 1 December.
CEA adds that it is planning to codeshare on Kenya's Dubai-Nairobi services, but did not say when this would commence.
