The Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank) closed financing on a new Boeing 787-8 delivery for Hainan Airlines, Flightglobal Ascend online database shows.

The aircraft (MSN 34939), which was delivered in July, was the first 787 for the Chinese carrier.

A second aircraft was delivered at the end of August. Hainan Airlines has eight more deliveries scheduled through January 2016, according to Ascend.

The Chinese carrier operates the 787 on the Beijing-Haikou domestic route. Hainan Airlines will deploy the 787 on its North America routes, increasing the frequency of its Beijing -Seattle, Beijing -Toronto and Beijing -Chicago services, with several new destinations.
