China Southern Airlines and Kenya Airways will expand their codeshare partnership from 1 August.
China Southern will place its code on Kenya Airways-operated services from Guangzhou to Nairobi, and onwards to Lagos, Johannesburg and Lusaka, says Kenya Airways.
Kenya Airways, meanwhile, will place its code on China Southern's Wuhan-Bangkok service. Its passengers will also gain direct access to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth through services operated by China Southern from Guangzhou.
The two carriers signed their initial codeshare agreement in 2009, covering the Nairobi-Dubai-Guangzhou route.
"This will benefit our guests a great deal with the increase in flights, frequency and ease of connectivity to more destinations," says Kenya Airways' group managing director and chief executive Titus Naikuni.
