China Southern Airlines is seeking US Export-Import Bank financing for Boeing 787 and “possibly other widebody, longhaul aircraft” deliveries, according to the export credit agency.

A decision is expected after 7 October, according to Ex-Im’s minutes on the request.

The carrier has seven 787-8s on order with five units expected this year, followed by two more aircraft in 2014, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows.
