China Southern Airlines' overall passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, rose by 8.4% year on year in July.

Domestic traffic for the month increased by 7.3%, while regional traffic fell by 4.7% and international traffic went up by 15%.

The airline's overall capacity, as measured in ASKs, grew by 12%. Its domestic capacity increased by 12%, while regional capacity climbed by 0.9% and international capacity went up by 12%.

The airline carried a total of 8.58 million passengers for the month, up by 5.2%. The carrier's domestic passenger numbers increased by 5.1% to 7.7 million. Its regional passenger numbers declined by 0.6% to 182,000 and international passenger numbers grew by 8.5% to 692,000.

China Southern's overall passenger load factor during the month fell by 2.4 percentage points to 80.5%. Its domestic passenger load factor decreased by 3.4 percentage points to 80.7%, while its regional load factor went down by 4.4 percentage points to 74.6%. International passenger load factor increased by 1.8 percentage points to 80.4%.
