China Southern Airlines has applied to start two new services to Jeju in South Korea.

The airline plans twice-weekly services between China's capital Beijing and Jeju and between Dalian and Jeju, says the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

The carrier will operate Airbus A321 aircraft on the Beijing service and A319 aircraft on the Dalian service, adds the CAAC.

The CAAC, which has to approve the application, did not say when the services would start.
