China Southern Airlines has filed applications with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to begin two new international services from Guilin, starting October.
The carrier plans to start thrice weekly Guilin-Nanning-Singapore and four times weekly Guilin-Nanning-Bangkok services, says the CAAC.
The airline will use either Boeing 737-700 or -800 aircraft on the two routes.
Innovata schedules show that China Southern will compete with Hainan Airlines on the Nanning-Bangkok route, and Sichuan Airlines on the Nanning-Singapore route.
Guilin is located in the southern Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
