China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines will expand their codeshare agreement, effective March 2014.

Under the new agreement, the two carriers will place their codes on several of each other’s domestic services as well as those from Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Xiamen and Zhengzhou to destinations in Macau, Japan and Southeast Asia.

This brings the carriers' codeshare partnership to cover more than 400 domestic and 16 international routes.

China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines began their codeshare cooperation in June 2008 and are members of the SkyTeam alliance. Data from Flightglobal Pro also shows that the parent company of China Southern, China Southern Air Holding, owns 51% of Xiamen Airlines.
