China's overall passenger numbers rose by 11% to 25.6 million in December 2012, says the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

Domestic passenger numbers rose by 12% to 23.8 million, while international passengers increased by 6.8% to 1.87 million.

Cargo and mail volumes for the month were flat at 500,000t.

For 2012, overall passenger movements increased by 9.2% to 319 million, while cargo and mail volumes declined by 2% to 5.41 million tonnes, adds the CAAC.
