Chinese low-cost carrier Spring Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China to operate daily Shanghai Pudong-Seoul Incheon services.

The airline said it intends to use Airbus A320 aircraft on the route, but did not specify the service's expected start date in the application.

Innovata schedules show that Spring will compete with China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines on the route.
