China's Xiamen airport 2011 net profit up 16.5%

China's Xiamen Gaoqi International airport has posted a 16.5% increase in its 2011 net profit, compared with a year earlier.

Its net profit rose to yuan (CNY) 326 million ($52 million), up from CNY280 million, the airport says in its annual report.

Total revenue grew by 18.7% to CNY995 million, up from CNY839 million. Its operating profit rose by 17.6% to CNY456 million, and total profit increased by 17.9% to CNY456 million.

The airport's passenger throughput rose by 19.3% to 15.75 million, while aircraft movements rose by 16.3% to 135,600 and cargo tonnage increased by 6.1% to 261,000t, says the airport.
