Chinese carrier Lucky Air has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to amend its scope of operations.

The airline intends to operate international passenger and cargo services to unspecified "neighbouring countries", says the CAAC.

Innovata schedules show that Lucky Air only flies domestic services within mainland China.

Hainan Airlines has an indirect stake in Lucky Air through Shanxi Airlines, which owns 31.4% of the Kunming-based carrier.
