Chinese low-cost carrier Spring Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to operate services to Ho Chi Minh City.

It plans to operate four times weekly services on the Shanghai Pudong-Ho Chi Minh City route starting May, says the CAAC.

Innovata schedules show that Spring will compete with China Eastern Airlines and Vietnam Airlines on the Shanghai Pudong-Ho Chi Minh City route.
