CIT Aerospace received export credit support during the second quarter to support the financing of Boeing aircraft deliveries.
According to a second quarter earnings call today, CIT "received $150 million of secured aircraft funding through a newly established facility guaranteed by the US Export-Import Bank".
The agreement follows an order from CIT during the first quarter which includes 15 extended-range 737-900 and 23 737-800 aircraft.
The lessor ended the second quarter with a total orderbook of 148 aircraft, or $8 billion worth of orders during the next seven years.
During the quarter, CIT Bank originated $250 million in loans in the aerospace and military sectors.
