Citilink has taken delivery of a new Airbus A320 aircraft, which was initially due to be delivered to Kingfisher Airlines, from BOC Aviation.

The aircraft, MSN 4961, is equipped with V2527-A5 engines. It was delivered and placed under an operating lease agreement with the Singapore-based lessor earlier this week.

BOC Aviation confirmed the placement to the Indonesian low-cost carrier arm of Garuda, adding that Kingfisher is "out of the picture for this aircraft."

Citilink is due to receive two new A320s from RBS Aviation Capital in the final quarter of this year, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database. Next year, RBS Aviation Capital is due to lease two additional aircraft while GECAS has committed a total of six new A320s to the Indonesian carrier.
