Indonesian low-cost carrier Citilink has signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate with charter airline Pelita Air Service, a subsidiary of state-owned oil company Pertamina.
The agreement will allow Citilink to use Pelita's facilities at Pondok Cabe airport as its operational and maintenance base, says the Garuda Indonesia subsidiary.
"We believe this partnership will maximise the operational performance of Citilink's fleet to better serve passengers, amid a high growth of air transportation needs," says Citilink's chief executive Arif Wibowo.
Pondok Cabe is a military airport based in Depok, south of Jakarta.
Pelita operates charter services primarily to support the oil and gas industry. Its fleet includes Indonesia Aerospace/Casa C212-200, De Havilland Canada Dash 7 and Fokker 100 aircraft.
