CityJet has confirmed that it will ground its six times weekly Manchester-Antwerp service on 16 September.

The Air France subsidiary blames low demand for the cancellation, adding that it believes the Fokker 50 aircraft deployed on the route can be better utilised elsewhere.

"The aircraft will be used across our network, including the operation of our new route in October - London City to Münster Osnabrück," a spokesperson tells Flightglobal.
