(Clarifies aircraft no longer owned by Wells Fargo Bank)

Ownership of the Boeing MD-83 that crashed in Lagos, Nigeria on 3 June transferred from Wells Fargo Bank to its operator Dana Air in 2009. Wells Fargo acted as trustee for Dana Air while the aircraft remained on the US register after Dana Air acquired it in 2008, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.

The twinjet, with registration 5N-RAM and serial 53019, reportedly struck power lines while on final approach to Lagos airport, arriving from Abuja, killing all 153 passengers onboard.
