Constellium has signed a multi-year agreement with Airbus to provide aluminium solutions to the aircraft manufacturer and its parent company EADS.

The agreement is estimated to be worth around $2 billion and will see Constellium supply aluminium-rolled products such as wing skin panels, stringers, aero-sheets for fuselage panels, and rectangular and pre-machined plates for structural components.

The products delivered by Constellium will be manufactured at its major plants in Ravenswood, America; Issoire, France; and Sierre, Switzerland.

Under the terms of the contract, which extends an earlier agreement signed by the companies in 2010, Constellium will also be involved in the evolution of the A320 family by providing advanced solutions for upper and lower wing skin panels.
