A Copa Airlines Boeing 737-800 overran the runway while landing at Quito Airport in Ecuador on 29 November.

No one was injured in the incident, says the airport on its Twitter account. The aircraft came to a stop in the runway's safety zone, it adds.

Aviation safety website Aviation Herald identified the aircraft's registration as HP-1522CMP. It had 153 passengers and six crew on board and was operating on a flight from Panama City, says Aviation Herald.

Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows that the aircraft was built in 2003 and has accumulated more than 32,000 hours and more than 11,000 cycles.
