Panama's Copa Airlines plans to begin flights to Boston from July, say reports citing global distribution systems schedules.

The carrier will operate daily on the route using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, the reports say.

Copa declines to confirm if the carrier will launch flights to Boston, saying only that the airline will make an announcement in the following weeks on new routes in its network that will launch in mid-2013.

The Star Alliance carrier already serves Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Washington, Chicago, Miami and Orlando in the USA. The carrier had previously indicated that Boston was a destination under study.

No airline operates between Panama City and Boston, schedules in Innovata show.
