Panama-based Copa Airlines has reported a 17.9% increase in its overall passenger traffic in August compared with a year earlier.
The carrier's capacity grew 12.7%, while the passenger load factor rose 3.4 percentage points to 77.1%.
International passenger traffic grew 19.4%, while capacity increased 14.2%. This resulted in a load factor of 76.9%, a 3.3 percentage point increase year-on-year.
Domestic traffic, represented wholly by Colombian domestic service, decreased 12.9%, while capacity dropped 19.3%. As a result, the domestic load factor for the month increased 6.2 percentage points to 85%.
