Panama-based Copa Airlines has reported a 21.2% year-on-year growth in its overall passenger traffic in December compared to a year earlier.
The carrier's capacity grew 20.5%, while the passenger load factor grew by 0.4 percentage point to 76.2%.
International passenger traffic grew 24.2%, while capacity increased 23%. This resulted in a load factor of 76%, a 0.7 percentage point increase compared with December 2011.
Domestic traffic, represented wholly by Colombian domestic service, decreased 19.7%, while capacity decreased 17.4%. The domestic load factor for the month fell by 2.3 percentage points to 81.2%.
