Copenhagen airport passenger numbers up 2.3% in October

Passenger numbers at Copenhagen airport reached 2.1 million in October, up 2.3% year-on-year against the same month in 2011.

Transfer traffic at the airport was up by 8.1%.

The number of passengers on international routes rose 4.1% for October, while domestic traffic declined by 14.1%.

"If we look to Europe, we outperformed each of the transport hubs Amsterdam, Paris, London, Brussels, Zurich and Munich," says Thomas Woldbye, chief executive of Copenhagen airport.
