Turkish carrier Corendon Airlines has contracted Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance for engine support on its five-strong Boeing 737-800 fleet.

The agreement covers both on-wing maintenance to restore engine core performance and shop visit overhauls to replace life-limited parts.

AFI KLM E&M says that one of the aircraft's CFM International CFM56-7B powerplants has so far been serviced at its facility in Amsterdam. Three further engines are due to be inducted into the shop this year, with five more to follow by 2015.

The MRO company provided a spare engine when Corendon's first powerplant was shipped to Amsterdam.
