Swedish humidification specialist CTT Systems has developed a version of its product for the first-class cabin on Boeing 777-300ER twinjets.
The company says the installation, based on its CAIR product, is aimed at increasing comfort for premium travellers on the type, raising humidity levels to 20-25%.
CTT vice-president of sales Peter Landquist says the development follows "demand for an economical system".
"Not only will [passengers] arrive more rested with less negative impact from jet-lag, but also without skin, eye and throat problems," he says.
CTT has gained experience in dealing with the premium market having been particularly active in the business-jet sector. "Airline demand for premium cabin humidification is now growing steadily," it claims.
