Guggenheim adds five aircraft
Guggenheim Aviation Partners (GAP) purchased three Boeing 737-300s (23712, 23713, 23733) with CFM56-3B1 engines from Deutsche Bank in a deal arranged by Aviation Capital Group. The 1987-built aircraft are on lease to US Airways.
GAP also acquired a 1991-built Airbus A320-200 (219) with CFM56-5A1 engines from All Nippon Airlines and leased it back to the carrier.
GAP acquired a Boeing 767-200ER (24849) with PW4060 engines from BTMU Capital and HSH Nordbank. The 1990-built aircraft is on lease to LAN Airlines, but is operated by LAN Argentina since November 2006. Jetworks Leasing arranged the transaction.
AAR Aircraft & Engine Group sold two Boeing 737-300s (23931, 23932) with CFM engines to Jetlease. The 1988-built aircraft were acquired last August by AAR Aircraft & Engine Group.
Aebal leased a Boeing 717-200 (55065) with BR715A1-30 engines from Pembroke Capital. The 2000-built aircraft was on lease to Olympic Airlines since delivery.
AeroContractors purchased a Boeing 737-400 (24558) with CFM56-3B2 engines from RPK Capital. The 1990-built aircraft was previously on lease to US Airways.
Aerosvit Airlines leased a Boeing 767-300ER (24849) with PW4060 engines from the CIT Group. The aircraft was previously on lease to Mexicana.
AirBlue wetleased one Airbus A321-200s (963) with V2533-A5 engines from Inter Airlines. The 1999-built aircraft is the property of AerCap.
Air Caraibes leased an Embraer E-175-200LR (17) with CF34-8E5 engines from ECC Leasing through December 2007. The 2003-built aircraft was previously a E-175-100SR aircraft converted into a -200LR.
Air India subleased a Boeing 767-300ER (29388) with CF6-80C2B7F engines from Flyglobespan. The 2000-built aircraft is on lease from ILFC. Flyglobespan leased another 767-300ER (26264) with CF6-80C2B6F engines from ILFC last October.
Avation completed the purchase of two Fokker F-100 (11488, 11489) aircraft with Tay 650-15 engines from Aercap. According to the terms of the contract, Avation paid a total of $8.85m for the two aircraft. Both aircraft, which were built in 1994, have leases attached with Australian operator Skywest Airlines. Avation said the two aircraft are expected to generate each year about $1.8m in revenues. The lease is understood to continue over the next six years.
Blue Air leased a Boeing 737-400 (25429) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Volito Aviation. The 1992-built aircraft was previously on lease to Blue Panorama Airlines.
BlueWings completed the purchase of five Airbus A320-200s (1240, 1257, 1546, 1557, 1650) with V2527-A5 engines from JetBlue. The first three aircraft were built in 2000 and the following two in 2001.
Clickair leased an Airbus A320-200 (992) with CFM56-5B4/P engines from Babcock Aircraft Management. The 1999-built aircraft was previously on lease to Turkish Airlines.
Click Mexicana leased two Fokker F-100s (11333, 11337) with Tay 650-15 engines from Pembroke Capital. The 1991-built aircraft were previously on lease to Germania Express.
Comair completed the purchase of an ex-Air Nauru Boeing 737-400 (26960) with CFM56-3C1 engines from Deutsche Bank.
Deucalion purchased an Airbus A320-200 (1945) with V2527-A5 engines from SALE. The 2003-built aircraft has a lease attached to Martinair Holland.
Eurofly leased a A330-200 from CIT.
GA Telesis and Global Principal Finance purchased a Boeing 737-300 (23237) aircraft with CFM56-3B1 engines from CIT Aerospace. The 1986-built aircraft is currently on lease to US Airways through 2007.
In addition GA Telesis acquired two Airbus A320-200 (22, 23) aircraft with CFM56-5A1 engines from AWAS. Both aircraft, previously operated by Air Luxor/HiFly (Portugal) were returned from lease in September 2006. The aircraft will enter the GA Telesis disassembly production line and be remarketed by their Aircraft Systems Group (ASG) and Turbine Engine Group (TEG), respectively. The engines will be entered into GA Telesis’ lease pool.
Grupo Marsans signed agreements to lease two additional A340-300s to be delivered in 2007.
KD Avia leased a second ex-Pace Airlines Boeing 737-300 (24546) with CFM56-3B1 engines from Aergo Capital.
Insel Air subleased a 1987-built McDonnell Douglas MD-83 (49449) with JT8D-219 engines from Air Adriatic. The aircraft is on lease from Aergo Capital through July 2007.
Israir leased two 1992-built Airbus A320-200s (333, 384) with CFM56-5A1 engines from Latcharter, a Latvian charter airline owned by Loftleidir-Icelandic, a subsidiary of Icelandair Group, for three years. The aircraft, previously operated by Air Canada, will be the first Airbus aircraft operated by Israeli airlines. Latcharter leases the aircraft from the US aircraft leasing company KJ Aviation.
Israir also extended the lease of a Boeing 767-300ER (24846) with PW4060 engines from Loftleidir-Icelandic until the end of this year.
JetTime subleased two 1990/91-built Boeing 737-500s (24778, 25066) with CFM56-3B1 engines from Sterling. The aircraft are on lease from Orix Aviation Systems.
KAM Air wetleased a 2000-built Boeing 737-800 (28620) with CFM56-7B26 engines from Pegasus. The aircraft is on lease from GECAS.
L’Avion leased a 1991-built Boeing 757-200 (25140) with PW2040 engines from German Operating Aircraft Leasing (GOAL) for a period of five years.
Montrose Global Capital purchased three Boeing 747-400s (25395, 26474, 26881) with PW4056 engines in a deal arranged by Bristol Associates. MSN 25395 is a 1992-built aircraft that was owned by CIT Group. MSN 26474 is a 1993-built aircraft owned by US Bank NA Trustee. MSN 26881, a 1993-built aircraft, was owned by Wilmington Trust Company.
Mandala Airlines added two Airbus A320-200s last month. It leased one A320-200 (279) with CFM56-5A1 engines from AWAS as well as one A320-200 (391) with CFM56-5A3 engines from Aerco Group. Both aircraft are ex-EirJet aircraft that stopped operations last October.
Malev sold and leased back a 1992-built Boeing 767-200ER (27048) with CF6-80C2B4F engines from Automatic.
Magnum Aerodynamics acquired a 1981-built McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (48087) with JT8D-217 engines from Spirit Airlines.
MK Leasing acquired two Boeing 737-300s (23584, 23585) with CFM56-3B1 engines as well as two spare CFM56-3B1 engines from Pacific Harbour Capital. Both 1987-built aircraft are on lease to Continental Airlines through January 2008.
Nordic Aviation Contractors leased a 1992-built Boeing 737-500 (25738) with CFM56-3B1 engines to Pulkovo Air.
Pakistan International Airlines subleased a Boeing 777-200ER (28412) with Trent 892B-17 engines from Malaysia Airlines. The 1997-built aircraft is on lease from Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad. PIA also wet-leased two Airbus A321-200s (968, 974) with V2533-A5 engines from Inter Airlines. Both 1999-built aircraft are leased to Inter Airlines by ILFC through March 2010.
PLM Financial Services sold a Boeing 737-300 (24700) with CFM56-3B1 engines to the Deutsche Bank Equipment Leasing. The ex-TWA 1990-built aircraft is on lease to PLUNA. JetWorks Leasing, through its alliance with Sigma Aircraft Management, arranged the transaction.
Sama acquired a 1990-built Boeing 737-300 (24681) with CFM56-3B1 engines from GECAS.
Shenzhen Airlines leased two new Airbus A319-100s and two new Boeing 737-800s from CIT.
Skyway Airlines purchased a Dornier 328Jet (3167) with PW306B engines from M7 Aerospace.
Ukraine International Airlines leased a 1992-built Boeing 737-500 (25182) with CFM56-3B1 engines from GECAS for a five-year period through December 2011.
Cargolux Airlines completed a wet-lease agreement with Air Atlanta Icelandic for a Boeing 747-400F Production Freighter (TF-AMO). This will run through 31 December 2009. The aircraft is in addition to the 747-200SF currently in operation for Cargolux Airlines, which was extended for another 12 months through 31 December 2007.
Compass Capital acquired a 1989-built Bombardier Dash8-300 (190) with PW123 engines from PLM Equipment Growth Fund IV. The aircraft had a lease attached to Air Canada Jazz through June 2007, which was extended. Jetworks Leasing, through its alliance with Sigma Aircraft Management, arranged the transaction.
FedEx acquired two ex-American Eagle ATR-72-200s (248, 253) with PW127 engines from Nordic Air Contractors.
International Aviation Support purchased ex-Skywest Airlines Embraer 120RT (151) with PW118A engines from Boeing Capital Corp. for part out.
MDT’s wholly-owned subsidiary Turbo Leasing acquired a 2005-built Bombardier Dash8Q-400 aircraft (4110) with PW150A engines from Bombardier Capital. The aircraft is on lease to Flybe.
Nordic Air Contractors acquired two Fokker F-50s (20162, 20163) with PW125B engines from Scandinavian Airline Systems. Both 1989-built aircraft are currently on lease to Air Baltic.
North Cariboo Air acquired a 1991-built Bombardier Dash8-100 (285) with PW120A engines from the CIT Group.
Northstar Aviation acquired three 1995-built Jetsream J-41s (46, 49, 53) with TP331-14GR engines from IMP Group.
TAM acquired a Saab 340A (118) with CT7-5A2 engines from State Street Bank. The aircraft was previously on lease to Colgan Air.
Wideroe leased a 2002-built Bombardier Q-400 (4064) with PW150A engines from Scandinavian Airline Systems for a period of five years.
