Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has issued a tender seeking consultants to review Indira Gandhi International Airport's master plan.

The airport operator said in the tender that the successful candidate should have experience in reviewing and upgrading airport master plans, situation analysis and the development of options for expansion.

Interested parties will have until 30 April to submit the relevant documents.

In 2006, the airport unveiled plans to build a new runway by 2008, followed by a third terminal building by 2010.

Under the airport's phase 3 plans, construction of a fourth terminal is due by 2016, together with the expansion of Terminal 3. The airport will also likely build a new runway and air traffic control tower.
