Delta Air Lines' first Boeing 737-900ERs will operate from its Atlanta and Detroit hubs to the west coast from 3 November, as it readies for deliveries to commence later in September.
The SkyTeam Alliance carrier will operate the 180-seat narrowbody from its Atlanta base to Detroit, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and from Detroit to Los Angeles and San Francisco, with the flights being introduced between 3 and 7 November, the airline confirms.
Crews for the 737-900ER will be based in Atlanta.
Delta has a firm order for 100 of the Boeing narrowbody, with the first delivery tentatively scheduled for 23 September.
The airline is also scheduled to introduce the Boeing 717-200 this month, with the first flight between Atlanta and Newark scheduled for 19 September.
