Delta Air Lines has named long-time Continental executive Holden Shannon as senior vice president of corporate strategy and real estate.
Prior to taking the position at Delta, Shannon spent 15 years at Continental, most recently serving as the airline's senior vice president of systems operations and real estate.
Shannon's appointment is accompanied by other executive changes at Delta including the transition of Wayne Aaron to vice president of marketing programmes and distribution strategy. Aaron led the project management office that oversaw Delta's merger with Northwest Airlines.
Delta has also promoted managing director of network strategy Jeff Arinder to vice president corporate strategy and business development, reporting to Shannon. The carrier's vice president of corporate real estate John Boatright also now reports to Shannon.
