Delta Air Lines reports a 3% increase in consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) in July, led by improvement in Delta's hubs in Atlanta and New York and solid performance in trans-Atlantic markets.

System PRASM pressure from the devaluation of the Japanese yen continues and drove one percentage point of negative impact for the month.

Traffic and capacity increased by 1.7% and 2.7%, respectively, compared to a year earlier. The load factor was down 0.8 percentage points to 87%.

Domestic traffic decreased 0.1%, while capacity increased by 1.9%, which resulted in load factor decreasing by 1.8 percentage points to 86%.

International traffic and capacity increased by 4.2% and 3.7% respectively. The load factor was up 0.4 percentage points to 88.3%.
