Delta PRASM up 11% in April

Delta Air Lines posted an 11% growth in consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) in April, compared with the same month last year.

Traffic increased 1.1% while capacity decreased 1.3%, resulting in a two percentage point improvement in load factor, says Delta.

Passenger numbers rose 2% to 13.7 million year-on-year.

Domestic traffic rose 1.6%, while international traffic was up 0.3%. Domestic capacity fell 1% during the month, while international capacity declined 1.7%.

The domestic load factor grew 2.3 percentage points to 85.4%, and the international load factor rose 1.6 percentage points to 79%.
