Delta Air Lines reports a 4% improvement in passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) in December, compared to a year earlier.
The Atlanta-based SkyTeam alliance carrier attributed the growth to strong holiday demand, merchandising revenue growth and continued capacity discipline.
Traffic increased 0.5% as capacity decreased 1.7% while load factor was up 1.8 percentage points to 82.7%.
Domestic traffic fell 0.8% on a 1.8% decline in capacity. The load factor was up 0.8 percentage points to 81.5%.
International traffic was up 2.4% on a 1.7% decrease in capacity. The load factor was up 3.4 percentage points to 84.6%.
