Delta TechOps has received the authority to provide maintenance services for operators licensed by the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).
With the certification, Delta TechOps can now perform maintenance on turbine engines, and will initially add capabilities for CFM International CFM56-5B and -7B types, which power the Airbus A320 and next-generation Boeing 737 narrowbody aircraft.
The certificate will also allow the Atlanta-based maintenance arm of Delta Air Lines to perform maintenance on next-generation 737 components, including accessories, instruments and radio equipment.
"The Delta TechOps team is honoured and delighted to receive the approval of JCAB and will proudly display the certificate among numerous and highly valued domestic and international regulatory approval documents," says Peter Turner, vice-president MRO Services, Delta TechOps. "Approval of JCAB organisation is another testament to Delta TechOps' culture of maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and reflects our strong commitment to the Japanese aviation market and operators."
