Delta traffic up 2.6% in February

Delta Air Lines has reported a 2.6% year-over-year growth in passenger traffic in February.

Domestic traffic rose 2.5%, while international traffic increased 2.6%, said the SkyTeam carrier.

Overall capacity was down 1.7% in the month. Domestic capacity fell 0.6% and international capacity was down 3.3%.

The system wide load factor grew 3.2 percentage points to 76.9%, said Delta. The domestic load factor grew 2.4 percentage points to 79.5%, while the international load factor was up 4.2 percentage points to 73%.

Systemwide passenger numbers rose 4.1% to 11.4 million in February, said Delta.
