Air Lines has awarded US
contractor Turner Construction the $220 million building contract at the heart of
the carrier’s $300 million upgrade for its New York JFK terminals, which is
scheduled to begin this spring.
US major’s plan includes adding over 100,000sq ft (9,300sq m) in additional
space to Terminals 2 and 3 as well as renovating the existing 1 million sq ft
of space at the airport.
upgrade work will include improved baggage handling and security facilities and
new air conditioning systems.
