Deucalion, through Deucalion Capital II/A330 Parts, has purchased the third and final Airbus A330-300 aircraft from Penerbangan Malaysia for disassembly.
The 1995-vintage aircraft (MSN 100) is equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW4168 engines and was previously operated by Malaysia Airlines. It follows two aircraft of the type (MSNs 69 and 73), which were acquired in the final quarter of last year.
Malaysia Airlines is selling the aircraft as part of its fleet renewal programme. DVB Bank, which confirms the deal, says no senior debt leverage was needed on the financings, only equity. The aircraft and engines are being consigned by Deucalion Capital II A330 Parts to Universal Asset Management and Total Aviation Group.
The three A330s were delivered new to Malaysia Airlines. They were purchased by Penerbangan Malaysia in 2002 under a 10-year purchase and leaseback agreements
