DHL Express has increased capacity between Hong Kong and Penang with the introduction of an Airbus A300 freighter on the route.
The five-times weekly A300F service is now being operated by Air Hong Kong. The service was previously operated by Malaysia's Transmile Air using a Boeing 727-200F.
The company adds that the service is timed to connect in Hong Kong with onward cargo services to the USA.
"The introduction of the new freighter comes at an opportune time as it will see the A300 providing extra 30% cargo capacity and businesses can ride on the growing demands to expand their footprint overseas," says David Ng, DHL Express managing director for Malaysia and Brunei.
