Doric Nimrod Air Two has closed the first of four new Airbus A380s under a capital market transaction.

The A380, MSN 106, is financed with the proceeds from the $587.5 million pass through certificates issued in June by Doric Nimrod Air Finance Alpha.

The aircraft is on lease to Emirates Airline for a period of 12 years. The remaining three aircraft as part of this deal are scheduled for delivery during the fourth quarter of this year.

Emirates also took delivery of another A380, MSN 105, which was financed with Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Commerzbank as debt providers. The aircraft is on lease to Emirates Airline for a period for 12 years.

With the addition of MSNs 105 and 106, Doric’s A380 fleet under portfolio management reaches 15 aircraft. The company has a total of 32 aircraft under management, valued at more than $5.1 billion.
