Iwijn Achterberg has joined Doric's asset management team to monitor the firm's aircraft engines. He previously served as an engine specialist with Nayak Aircraft Service Group.
Achterberg will be on-site when maintenance work is performed on Engine Alliance and Rolls-Royce engines and will provide documentation support and maintenance for the 18 Airbus A380s that Doric currently manages.
At present, several A380s managed by Doric are undergoing modification of the wing-rib brackets following approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency in March 2013, according to Doric.
To date Doric's asset management portfolio encompasses an investment volume of $7 billion. The bulk of the assets is made up of 35 aircraft with an investment volume totalling $6 billion.
