Dragonair plans to begin a 10 times weekly Hong Kong-Penang service on 30 March 2014.

The carrier will deploy Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route, it says.

However, the airline's spokesman declined to say if it is taking over the services operated by parent Cathay Pacific, which serves Penang with the same frequency.

Innovata schedules show that Dragonair will compete with Hong Kong Express and Cathay Pacific on the Hong Kong-Penang route.
