Bhutan's Druk Air plans to launch a thrice weekly Kolkata-Dhaka service on 15 May, which will be an extension of its existing Paro-Kolkata route.

The carrier has also indefinitely postponed plans to launch a Paro-Mumbai service that was originally due in March. Poor traffic demand for the route led to the postponement, says an airline official.

Innovata schedules show that Druk Air will compete with Air India, Jet Airways, Biman Bangladesh and United Airways on the Kolkata-Dhaka route.
