Air Austral has confirmed its $650 million order for two A380-800s.
The airline will configure the aircraft with a single-class 840-seat layout for use on the high density services from La Reunion to Paris.
Engine Alliance GP7200 engines have been selected. Deliveries will take place in 2014. The deal represents the confirmation of a memorandum of understanding signed in January. It takes firm orders for the A380 to 202 aircraft from 17 customers.
