Dubai International airport has reported a 19% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers to 4.56 million for February.
The largest increase was recorded on routes to and from Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) countries, followed by the Indian subcontinent and Western Europe.
Traffic on Middle Eastern routes continued on a downward trend due to ongoing unrest in the region, the airport says.
Aircraft movements for the month grew by 9.8% to 27,100, up from the 24,600 recorded in February 2010.
On the cargo front, total volumes handled by the airport increased 6.5% to 158,000t.
