The Royal Netherlands Air Force’s third McDonnell Douglas DC-10 arrived at Eindhoven air base in late May after undergoing overhaul by Italy’s Alitalia. The ex-United Airlines aircraft – now registered T-255 – will now be equipped with a flat loading floor, enabling it to be rapidly reconfigured from full cargo to passenger configuration, before being flown to Woensdrecht later this year to undergo cockpit modification.
