UK low-cost carrier EasyJet has rolled out a further service to appeal to business travellers, by offering fast track security as an added benefit for passengers buying its flexi fares.
Under the move fast track security will be included in the range of benefits - along with things flexible changes, speedy boarding and free hold luggage - as part of its flexi fares. It will initially be offered across 27 of its airports, a little over half its business network, and progressively rolled out across its network.
It forms a further part of EasyJet's efforts - which has seen it introduce allocated seating - to further appeal to business travellers. The airline says it already carries around 10 million business passengers annually.
"Building on that platform we want to give them other services that they truly value and which we can deliver without changing our simple efficient operations," says chief executive Carolyn McCall. "Allocated seating is a good example of something our business passengers told us they really wanted and that we have been able to manage while maintaining our industry leading punctuality. By teaming up with our airport partners we can now offer fast track security which enables time sensitive business travellers to reduce their journey time through the airport."
